Darshan day is a profound and rare gift, a day when the Deeksha Yajna community is graced with the opportunity to sit in Sri Amma Bhagavan’s presence and receive many profound gifts. Sitting in the presence of the physical manifestation of the Divine and listening as Sri Bhagavan speaks is a tremendous blessing. Sri Amma is just as present as Sri Bhagavan. They are one consciousness--the Divine manifested in feminine and the masculine forms. So, when you are in the presence of one, both are there.
Although you may not be aware of it, you are also in the presence of the more refined non-physical aspects of the Divine - the Great Compassionate Light. Approaching darshan with sacred awareness and a heartfelt understanding naturally strengthens your bond with the Great Compassionate Light Sri Amma Bhagavan and increases the miracles you experience in darshan and in your life.
Preparations for darshan can begin the day before, starting with readying your home to receive the presence of the Divine. Cleaning your home with sacredness and the intent of creating an inviting space for the Divine is an act of reverence. Just as you prepare your home for guests, you prepare it to honor the Divine.

You can also perform bhajans (singing and dancing in praise) and chanting the Moola Mantra 108 times with the specific intention of inviting the Great Compassionate Light. As you prepare in a state of sacredness, you shift into higher frequencies and open an energetic gateway to receive Their presence more powerfully in you and your home. In doing so, you invite grace to flow in your life.
Preparing your body is also important. If darshan is in the morning for you, get up, shower, and dress nicely. If it is in the evening, clean up and change into fresh clothes. Sit upright in a chair with your feet on the floor, or in Sukhasana cross-legged with an upright spine, hands resting on the knees. If you are a good at yoga – lotus or half-lotus pose is also acceptable. These receptive postures help open your body and energy pathways to receive the energies being expressed during darshan. If you are unable to sit, it is okay to lie down if needed.
Pour your water for soma beforehand. Many times, you will be given the gift of the water being transformed even before the soma process begins. You may place your water on your altar, or near the computer screen to receive the blessings of soma during live darshan.
The opening of darshan starts with images of Satyaloka. This is a beautiful opportunity to receive the grace flowing through these pictures of this powerful sacred land where the phenomenon first manifested and where miracles and transformations happen. Then you are given the blessing of joining the live ritual at Satyaloka where members names and photos are in the Golden Vessel for daily prayers—witnessing the monks in high states of consciousness as they chant for your liberation and tend the sacred homa fire.
When Sri Bhagavan appears on screen, this is a beautiful opportunity to offer your full, loving attention. You may wish to set aside phones, food, and conversation so you can receive completely. There is no need to take notes, as transcripts will be provided. Simply relax, listen deeply, and allow yourself to be immersed in the vast ocean of Presence.
Even if everything is not intellectually understood, know that the elevated spiritual frequency with which He speaks reaches deeply within you. As Sri Bhagavan has shared, “When I am speaking, it is Vak. Vak is creative power — it is not merely speech.”
When Sri Bhagavan raises His hands and blesses, whether it's the whole group or an individual, He is blessing everyone, as we are all one. Stretch your hands forward toward the screen, hands slightly cupped to receive this energetic gift, then raise them and either place them on your head or sweep them over it. As you do this, you bring this rare transformative blessing into your being.

You also will have the most amazing opportunity to pray for whatever you want. You have complete freedom to ask Sri Amma for any worldly need or desire, and Sri Bhagavan will bless you with a spiritual gift. When Sri Bhagavan blesses the group for something to happen, it will happen—that is the power of Sri Amma Bhagavan. You can trust that it will happen, and with perfect timing. Yet the true purpose of darshan is not only to have your prayers fulfilled, but to experience the transformative presence of Sri Amma Bhagavan and allow this grace to flow through you and your consciousness, completely changing you from within.
Where else in this world can you sit in the physical presence of the Divine — a presence actively transforming your unconscious programs, life, and destiny? Where else can you experience an Avatar who not only has the power to give you everything you want, and truly desires to do so, without expecting anything in return?
Darshan is a profound opportunity to heal, grow in consciousness, have your limiting unconscious programs changed, and experience the unconditional love and presence of the Great Compassionate Light. Honor this opportunity and the gifts it brings by preparing with sacredness and showing up with an open mind and open heart. Your being and your life will be transformed in ways beyond imagining.
